HOLIDAY HOURS (posted 12/21/2009)

All of our offices will close early at 3 PM on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2009 and be closed on Christmas Day (Friday, December 25, 2009). Our Newburyport office will be open for regular weekend sick call 8-9 AM on Saturday & Sunday, December 26 & 27.

All of our offices will close early at 3 PM on New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31, 2009. Our Newburyport office will be open from 8-9 AM for sick call on New Year's Day and for the weekend.

INFLUENZA SHOTS (posted 9/5/20089)

There is updated information about flu shots, both seasonal and H1N1 "swine" influenza, now available. Please click this link for further details.

Starting Saturday, June 6, 2006, weekend sick call hours will be an hour earlier, from 8 AM to 9 AM in our Newburyport office only. This is to keep consistency with our weekday sick call hour from 8 AM to 9 AM in all of our offices. There is no afternoon sick call on weekends.

Congratulations to Dr. Riccardi and her husband on the birth of their third child, Rocco, on December 29. Both mom and baby are doing well.

On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26, 2008) and the day after (Friday, November 27, 2008) our Newburyport office will be open for sick call at 9 AM only. The Amesbury and Haverhill offices will be closed.

All of our offices will be closed on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25, 2008). Our Newburyport office will be open for sick call at 9 AM only on New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1, 2009). The Haverhill and Amesbury offices will be closed. All offices will be open for regular office hours on December 26 and January 2.

COLUMBUS DAY HOURS (posted 10/7/2008)

Our Newburyport office will be open for walk-in sick call from 9 to 10 AM only on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13, 2008. The Amesbury and Haverhill offices will be closed and reopen for regular hours on Tuesday.

INFLUENZA SHOTS (posted 9/26/2008)

We will begin immunizing our patients for influenza in October. This year there are new recommendations that all children (age 6 months to 18 years old) as well as all high-risk patients should receive flu shots. (click this link for further details). Please call us after October 1 to schedule an appointment. If your child is not in a high-risk group, please call us after Novermber 1 to check on availability if you are interested in a flu vaccine.

Congratulations to Haverhill office employee Kristie and her family on the birth of her daughter, Isabella Grace, on 12/4/07. She weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and was 19" long. Both mom and baby are doing well.

MEMORIAL DAY HOURS (posted 5/20/2007)

Our Newburyport office will be open for sick call at 9 AM on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2007. The Haverhill and Amesbury offices will be closed. All of our offices will be open for regular hours on Tuesday, May 29.

WEEKEND SICK CALL HOURS (posted 4/3/2007)

Beginning April 1, we will no longer have afternoon sick call hours on Saturday or Sunday. Weekend sick call will remain at 9 AM in our Newburyport office only.

Our Newburyport office will be open for walk-in sick call from 9 to 10 AM only on Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4, 2006. The Amesbury and Haverhill offices will be closed and reopen for regular hours on Wednesday. Please note that all of our offices are open for regular hours on Monday July 3.

SUMMER SICK CALL HOURS (posted 4/13/2006)

On May 1, 2006 we will start our summer hours for weekend sick call. Our Newburyport office will be open Saturdays and Sundays for walk-in sick call from 9 to 10 AM only. There will be no afternoon sick call on weekends until 11/1/2006.

MARCH OFFICE CLOSINGS (posted 2/13/2006)

In March all of our Children's Health Care offices will be installing new computer systems in our move toward full electronic medical records this spring. Because of this, each of our three offices will be closed for one day in March for hardware installation. Please note that our other two offices WILL be open for regular hours on those days. The scheduled closings are: Newburyport (only) closed Friday, March 17, 2006; Amesbury (only) closed Monday, March 20, 2006; Haverhill (only) closed Wednesday March 22, 2006.

Congratulations to CHC nurse practitioner Susanne, her husband, Kevin (and big sister Samantha) on the birth of their son, Colin Thomas, on November 13. Colin weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces and mom and baby are both doing well.

LIMITED FLU SHOT AVAILABILITY (posted 11/13/2005)

Due to high demand and limited availability, we are currently experiencing some shortages of influenza vaccine in all of our offices. At this time we anticipate flu shots to be available only to high risk patients (click this link to see the list of children who are considered high risk) as it becomes available. If your child is in one of these high risk groups, you may call our office to check on availability. We also have a limited amount of nasal flu vaccine available for non-high risk patients five years and older.

We will be having a flu shot clinic on Saturday, October 22 from 11 AM until 1 PM in our Newburyport office. Flu shots will be administered only to CHC patients who are in a high risk group ). Call the Newburyport if you need further details.

TEDDY BEAR CLINIC AT YANKEE HOMECOMING (posted 7/28/2005)

Look for Children's Health Care at Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming festivities on Sunday, July 31. Our doctors will be manning the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Mall in Newburyport from 10 AM until 4 PM, so bring your favorite stuffed animal for a dose of TLC from CHC and enjoy the day. MEET THE PROVIDERS (posted 6/5/2005)

Come meet the providers of Children's Health Care at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. Meet the Providers nights allow families to come and chat with our doctors and nurses, as well as meet local obstetricians and midwives and tour the Seacoast Birth Center at Anna Jaques. Upcoming dates include July 20, September 21, and November 16, 2005. The time is 7:00-8:30 PM in the Higgins conference room on the first floor of Anna Jaques Hospital. Due to improvement in the supply of available influenza vaccine, we are happy to be able to offer flu shots to our patients who are household contacts of high-risk patients (including siblings of any children aged under 2 years).
