DrTom-200x300 Dr. Carmichael joined Children’s Health Care in the summer of 1997.  He attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and graduated from Tufts Medical School in Boston.  He went on to complete his pediatric residency in Providence, Rhode Island at Brown university’s Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and has since maintained his board certification in pediatrics.  Born and raised in mid-coast Maine, Dr Carmichael finds the Newburyport area a wonderful place to live with his wife, Wendy, and two children, Olivia and Gavin.  He likes to spend his free time with family and friends, kayaking, hiking, and exploring New England.  Dr Tom also enjoys traveling, working on stained glass projects, and writing poetry and fiction.
